Girly WordPress Themes

If you’re a blogger or blog reader and you’re of the feminine persuasion, then you’re not alone. Over half of bloggers are women, and the same goes for blog readers. It’s no wonder that there are so many blogs out in cyberspace that are designed to appeal to women: they’re the majority of the market. If you are thinking about starting a blog and want to make sure that it can run on girl power, then it’s not going to be enough to write about girly stuff. You’re going to need the look and feel of the site to reflect your commitment to the ladies. That’s where girly WordPress themes come in.

Girly WP Themes

Before you start drowning in images of sickly-sweet pink wallpaper plastered with even pinker hearts, you should know that the use of pink does not a feminine website make. There are plenty of other ways to give a blog a girly punch without walloping you with a sack of cotton candy. In fact, subtlety is often the key to making a big feminine impact without detracting from the actual content of your blog. There are plenty of girly WordPress themes that make minimal use of pink, if they even use it at all.

Depending on the specific theme of your blog, you could choose a theme with certain recurring elements in your posts. If you like to write about your children, you could choose a kid-themed layout. If you like to write about fashion, then you can go for an edgy black and white theme with a few pops of color here and there. There are plenty of girly WordPress themes based around everything from home decorating to flower arranging and, yes, even those pesky pink-on-pink themes. There are so many themes available that there’s bound to be one that’s perfect for your blog.

Many of the best girly WordPress themes don’t come free. The old adage that “you get what you pay for” certainly rings true in the world of blog designs. The free designs are all and good, but the layouts designed by the pros are definitely a cut above. If you want your blog to have a professional appeal, like you really know what you’re talking about, it’s definitely worth the investment to purchase a good theme. You would have to spend a lot more if you decided to hire a development team to design your own site. Take that money and use it to get a manicure.
